How the N88 works
Tune any band
Receive MW, Shortwave (3–30 MHz) and VHF (87–108 MHz) in AM, FM or DRM. Use auto-scan, raster tuning or direct manual frequency entry, and save favourites to 4 physical preset buttons.
Connect the companion app
Plug the N88 into an Android or iOS phone with a USB-C OTG cable to unlock stereo audio, images, text broadcasts, recording and offline E-Learning through the Streamline apps.
Stay protected with EWF
In sleep mode the N88 wakes every 30 seconds to check for emergency signals, switches automatically to the warning broadcast, and raises the volume with a flashing OLED alert.
Emergency Warning Function (EWF)
Public Safety & Disaster Relief Radio Broadcasts Without Internet
The N88 natively supports the DRM Emergency Warning Function. During natural disasters or civil emergencies, broadcasting stations can wake up the radio and transmit crucial audio and text instructions.
Auto-Wake (Sleep Mode): Wakes up every 30 seconds to check for active emergency warning signals.
Automatic Channel Switch: Automatically switches to the emergency warning broadcast channel.
Visual & Audio Alert: Flashing OLED screen and automatic volume increase (~77% level or higher).
DRM Priority & AM/FM Fallback: Prioritises DRM digital channels and falls back to AM/FM if required.
